WASHINGTON 鈥� The man who opened fire on Republicans practicing for the Congressional Baseball Game Wednesday morning had a list of names on him at the time, a source confirmed to 91欧美激情.
James Hodgkinson had a handwritten note on him at the time of the shooting that contained about five names and descriptions, a聽credible federal law enforcement source confirmed to 91欧美激情鈥檚 JJ Green. The source did not disclose the names that were on the list, however Fox 91欧美激情 reports that the list included all the members of the House Freedom Caucus.
It is not yet clear if the names on the list were intended targets, the source said.聽FBI has neither confirmed nor denied the report.
The 66-year-old of Belleville, Illionis, opened fire early Wednesday morning at an Alexandria, Virginia, baseball field where GOP lawmakers were practicing for an upcoming charity baseball game. Hodgkinson wounded House GOP Whip Steve Scalise and several others.
Hodgkinson was fatally shot during an exchange of gunfire with police during the rampage.
鈥淭his is a very significant development because it鈥檚 a part of the reason why authorities are trying to take their time and work through this because they want to know if he had any other contact with anyone and done any other surveillance on any other places,鈥� Green said on 91欧美激情.
Hodgkinson had been living out of a white cargo van in area near the ballpark since March and was not working, officials said Wednesday.
