A man was shot and a suspect was arrested after what police describe as an “alleged road rage shooting” Wednesday on the Baltimore-Washington Parkway in Anne Arundel County, Maryland.
Maryland State Police said the shooting happened shortly before 7:30 a.m. on northbound MD-295 near the Arundel Mills Blvd. exit.
The man who was shot drove himself to a nearby hospital, where he was met by Maryland state troopers, police said. From there, he was taken to a local trauma center to be treated for his injuries.
A passenger was also in the vehicle but was not injured.
The victims provided a description and dash cam video that police used to track down the suspect, state police spokeswoman Elena Russo told 91Å·ÃÀ¼¤Çé.Â
About an hour after the incident, the U.S. Park Police arrested Darius Bryant, 21, of Prince George’s County, during a traffic stop in D.C. He has been charged with attempted murder.
Police said they found a loaded firearm in his vehicle, and a shell casing at the scene of the alleged vehicle.
Witnesses are urged to contact Maryland State Police at the Glen Burnie Barrack at 410-761-5130.
