WASHINGTON 鈥� Some people are better at city parking than others, and some 鈥� well, maybe they’re just having a bad day.
, D.C. Delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton had a hard time with the diagonal parking lines near the House office buildings on Wednesday. And it was caught on video.
Norton was parking on New Jersey Avenue SE, between the Longworth and Cannon House office buildings, with the help of a staffer. After a long, slow process of parking, which reportedly involved hitting one of the cars next to her repeatedly, Norton and the staffer walk away, only to return 鈥� not to do a better job of parking of leave a note, but to retrieve some documents and head back off.
Roll Call鈥檚 tipster says that he or she didn鈥檛 see any damage to the car next to Norton鈥檚, but still thought a note should have been left.
Norton鈥檚 office told Roll Call, 鈥淎fter the Congresswoman parked her car, we assessed the cars on either side to see if there was any damage. We could not find any. But we left a note with a business card so the congresswoman could be contacted in case we missed any. 鈥�
鈥淭he Congresswoman heard from the owner of the only car she was close enough to damage. The owner reported no damage.鈥�
