WASHINGTON — Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a person of interest in connection with a 聽that happened in D.C. last week.
The homicide happened聽on聽Thursday, May 14, 2015, in the 3200 block of Woodland Drive,聽Northwest.
The person of interest was possibly operating a blue 2008 Porsche 911 sports car that was located abandoned 聽in the 8000 block of Annapolis聽Road, in New Carrollton, Maryland, according to a statement released by police.

D.C. Police Chief Cathy Lanier identified two of the victims as Savvas Savopoulos, 46, and his wife Amy Savopoulos, 47. Also believed to have been killed were the couple鈥檚 10-year-old son Philip and Veralicia Figueroa, their 57-year-old housekeeper from Silver Spring.
They were all found dead inside a Woodland Drive home after fire crews arrived to put out a house fire there about 1:30 p.m. Thursday.
Investigators tell 聽they believe more than one person was involved, and that it’s likely that the killers gained access to the house聽Wednesday and held the victims captive through Thursday afternoon, when the fire was set to apparently cover up the four murders.
Also, it’s likely that the聽person of interest聽had knowledge of the victims聽and how they lived their day-to-day lives, sources tell NBC Washington.
Anyone with information about the person of interest, or who observed the vehicle being operated between Wednesday, May 13, 2015 and聽May 14, 2015, is asked to call police.
The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up $25,000 to anyone who provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons wanted for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
