WASHINGTON 鈥 The National Museum of African American History and Culture has become the hottest ticket in D.C., but the promised distribution of more tickets ran聽into some snags on Monday.
Free, timed passes were supposed to become available at 9 a.m. Monday for entry to the museum for January through March. But the ticketing site indicates that they鈥檙e not available yet.
Tickets for the rest of this year have already been distributed.
The website crashed the last time tickets were made available, before the museum鈥檚 Sept. 24 opening.
On the museum鈥檚 Facebook page, many would-be attendees were upset, with comments including 鈥淭he museum鈥檚 IT department should be ashamed of themselves for this,鈥 but others said they had managed to get tickets. 鈥淪tay strong and patient, people,鈥 one said.
The Smithsonian聽said in a tweet just before 10 a.m. Monday that they were 鈥渆xperiencing difficulties鈥 and 鈥渁re looking into the problem.鈥 They offered no specifics on what the problem was.

A spokeswoman for the museum told 91欧美激情 in an email that “We are experiencing issues with the Etix site and are working to release the passes for 2017 as soon as possible.”
