(CNN) 鈥� Singer and star of 鈥淭he Little Mermaid鈥� is welcoming a new baby boy to be part of her world.
鈥淓ven though we鈥檙e a few days into the new year, the greatest thing that 2023 could have done for me, was bring me my son,鈥� Bailey on her Instagram page alongside a photo showcasing her newborn son鈥檚 hand wearing a gold bracelet with his name, 鈥淗alo,鈥� engraved on it.
鈥淲elcome to the world my halo,鈥� she wrote. 鈥淭he world is desperate to know you.鈥�
Bailey鈥檚 boyfriend, rapper DDG, the same photo on his Instagram on Saturday, writing, 鈥渕y biggest blessing by far鈥� and that he鈥檚 鈥渘ever been so in love.鈥�
The couple, who have been since 2022, had not confirmed they were expecting, making Saturday鈥檚 announcement a surprise.
While they stayed mum on their expanding family, Bailey previously opened up about her blossoming relationship with DDG, telling British Vogue in a 2022 that 鈥渆xperiencing deep love for the first time in my life is something I feel has opened a whole new world for me creatively.鈥�
鈥淚 like all of the scary feelings that come with that. I like the suspense, the not knowing what鈥檚 going to happen, and I feel like that鈥檚 what I鈥檓 supposed to be going through in womanhood,鈥� she added.
This is Bailey and DDG鈥檚 first child together.
