WASHINGTON 鈥� A Frederick, Maryland, man is in jail charged with a fatal assault on his wife.
George Worthington Ramer, 64, was arrested and charged聽with first- and second-degree assault on May 17. Police were called to Frederick Memorial Hospital on May 16 when Ramer’s wife,聽72 year-old Diana Shaff Peckaitis, arrived with injuries she said were inflicted by Ramer.
Peckaitis was transferred to another hospital the next day, where she died of her injuries.
Frederick police say they’re still investigating. Ramer is being held without bond.
