A man was found shot outside his vehicle in Laurel, Maryland, early Monday morning, causing traffic delays on Interstate 95, according to Maryland State Police.
The shooting happened just after 4:30 a.m. on I-95 near Brooklyn Bridge Road, police said.
Officers found 28-year-old Ronald Victor Garcia-Rodriguez lying on the shoulder of the interstate with gunshot wounds. He was taken to a hospital for treatment.
According MSP’s preliminary investigation, an altercation took place before the shooting between Garcia-Rodriguez and an acquaintance, however it’s still not clear what motivated the shooting and whether it occurred inside or outside his vehicle.
All northbound lanes on I-95 at Route 198 were closed for more than six hours Monday morning as police investigated the shooting.
91欧美激情’s Traffic Center reported all lanes reopened for traffic just after 11 a.m.
Police urged anyone who saw what happened or has information regarding the investigation to contact Maryland State Police at the Waterloo Barrack at 410-799-2101.
