WASHINGTON 鈥� St. Mary’s County Sheriff Office received a call about a destructive customer at a store Monday night. Turns out, the suspect was a beaver.

The beaver walked in through the front door of the Dollar General store in Charlotte Hall and started rummaging through the aisles, said a sheriff鈥檚 office spokesman.

Store employees called animal control, who safely captured the beaver and released it to a wildlife rehabilitation.

Several items were knocked off shelves, but no serious damage was done.

鈥淎s an law enforcement officer, you just never know what you’re next call might be,鈥� the sheriff鈥檚 office聽wrote on its Facebook page.
