ROCKVILLE, Md. — A woman who killed two people in a drunk-driving crash on the Capital Beltway pleaded guilty in a Montgomery County courtroom Wednesday morning聽to violating the terms of her probation.
Kelli Loos, 40, was ordered held without bond.
Loos had a blood alcohol level of more than twice the legal limit in July 2009, when she crashed into a truck on the Beltway,聽sending it tumbling down a ravine and resulting in the deaths of聽two people in the vehicle.
She pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 10 years in prison, but was out on parole in 2013.
Prosecutors say records聽from an interlock device installed in her car show she tried to drive with alcohol in her system on numerous聽occasions over the last several months.聽Under the terms of her probation, Loss was not allowed to drink at all.
Judge Joseph Dugan called Loos a liar and an addict who is completely powerless over alcohol.
Loos could receive 20 years in prison when she is sentenced June 1.
