2020 isn’t over quite yet.

A woman trying to park her car in Rockville, Maryland, hit the gas instead of the brakes, causing her vehicle to crash through a fence between the Twinbrook and Rockville Metro stations, which led to train service being temporarily suspended between Shady Grove and Grosvenor on Thursday morning.

Rockville City Police responded to the 1100 block of Rockville Pike around 10:30 a.m.

A Metro train there was able to stop and there was no contact between the train and the car.

No injuries were reported.

The car didn’t land on the tracks but train service was suspended while authorities worked to remove the vehicle.

Service on the Red Line returned to normal by the afternoon.
