WASHINGTON – A serious crash in the Huntingtown area in Calvert County has closed down a portion of Route 2 Sunday afternoon.
The crash occurred on Route 2 between three cars, says Calvert County Sheriff’s Department Lt. Steve Jones. Northbound Route 2 is currently closed between Route 4 and Dalrymple Road, as part of the investigation.
Maryland State Police also responded to the crash.
Jones says the crash happened around 11 a.m.
Two of the victims needed CPR before they could be airlifted to the hospital by the three medevac helicopters that flew to the scene.
A total of five people were injured, Jones says.
