Evergram offers a digital message in a bottle

WASHINGTON – The traditional message in a bottle has gone digital.

that a new website offers a way for users to send a message to someone in the future.

The site’s name is and the concept was born out of the movie “My Life,” starring Michael Keaton.

The cofounder of Evergram, Duncan Seay, was also diagnosed with cancer, like Keaton’s character. Seay is a cancer survivor and he developed the idea for the technology during his recovery.

According to USA Today, Evergram users record 15-second messages directly into a digital device, such as a smartphone or a computer. Then users can select the date for which they would like the message to be delivered and played for the recipient.
