WASHINGTON – Thousands of people converged on Judiciary Square Monday night to honor fallen heroes at the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial.
During the ceremony, the names of 321 people added to the memorial’s walls were read. Of those, 120 were officers who died on the job in 2012.
It was the 25th year for the candlelight vigil.
The memorial service, which recognizes fallen police officers, began in 1982.
