Va. schools banning e-cigarettes

HARRISONBURG, Va. (AP) — The Harrisonburg City School Board is snuffing electronic cigarettes — their use and possession on school grounds.

The board took the action this week, with final approval expected at a future meeting. Superintendent Scott Kizner says Virginia school divisions are required by state law to ban student use of e-cigarettes.

The Daily 91欧美激情-Record (http://bit.ly/1Bftmfu ) reports that the Rockingham County Public Schools adopted the required changes last week.

Harrisonburg school board members unanimously approved amendments to add visitors and employees to the policy.

The schools already prohibit tobacco use on school property, school buses and school-sponsored activities.
