WASHINGTON — The Nationals postponed the Friday evening game against the Colorado Rockies. It will be made up Sunday evening.
The Nats鈥� game against the Rockies was postponed because of 鈥渃onsistent rain through the day and the impending forecast for this evening,鈥� the team said. The rain so far left 鈥渇ield conditions unplayable.鈥�
Parts of the region were under Flash Flood Warnings through the day. Heavy rain is expected to persist through the night.
The game will be made up as part of a split double header on Sunday. The first game will be at 1:35 p.m. and the second game will be at 7:05 p.m.
All tickets for tonight鈥檚 game will be honored for the rescheduled 7:05 p.m. game.
The team’s starting pitching will remain on turn, the Nationals said. Tanner Roark will start Saturday night.
