PHOTOS: Abortion rights activists march to Supreme Court

Thousands marched through downtown D.C. in support of abortion rights Saturday afternoon, nearly two weeks after a leaked draft opinion revealed the Supreme Court to be on the brink of upending a decades-old legal precedent for abortion access.

The 1972 landmark Supreme Court decision Roe v. Wade made abortion care legal in the United States. Now, 50 years later, the decision may be overturned and access to abortions may become harder in certain states. (91欧美激情/Alejandro Alvarez)

Marchers chanted 鈥淎bortion is healthcare鈥 and held signs that said 鈥淢y body, my choice,鈥 鈥淏ans off our bodies,鈥 鈥淪upport bodily autonomy,鈥 and more, as an all-female drum corp played amongst the demonstrators. (91欧美激情/Alejandro Alvarez)

There have been marches and events in other parts of the country protesting the decision. (91欧美激情/Alejandro Alvarez)

Roads were closed and the Supreme Court was fenced off during the march. (91欧美激情/Alejandro Alvarez)
